The Japanese have a snack called Pocky. It's basically pretezel like sticks dipped most of the way into chocolate. They come in different flavors of chocolate and some odd flavors blended into white chocolate. There are a Mens Pocky which are real dark chocolate, I'm gathering that men in Japan like dark chocolate. There are standard milk chocolate, almond, green tea, strawberry and a few others. Quite yummy.

This year I want to read at least 2 books a month. I'm upto 3 for Janurary.

 

My mother-in-law gave me a four book series for Christmas and I picked up

the Fafrd and the Greymouser series as well as the Stainless Steel Rat series.

That should keep me till the summer.

 

I finished reading JPod by Douglas Coupland. If you're a techie or ever wanted

to be one you should read this book. It has tech, mobsters, drug dealers and

a hug machine. Great stuff.

Men Who Stare at Goats by Jon Ronson

 

If you're not sure that some people in our government, past and present, are nuts this book will make you wonder.

Secret programs run by people with their own agendas who are spending your tax money. It would be funny if it wasn't supposedly true.

Even if half of the programs talked about are true it will still make you think.

 

I really hope that it's all made up...<nervous laugh>

 

I'd like to call it conspiracy theory but the people in the book are real people.

 

 

Hand carved crayons. Pretty amazing. Probably not as popular in the desert southwest.
